2017 Heritage

This blend of 55% Zinfandel, 27% Mourvèdre and 18% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak barrels is a silky and elegant medium bodied red wine; bursting with ripe cherry and blackberry, with hints of black licorice and allspice leading to a soft, velvety finish. Many of Avensole’s vines were planted more than two decades ago by the first pioneers of Temecula Wine Country, and our vineyard has long been known for some of the best grapes in Temecula. We call this “Heritage” to honor our old vines.
